The 7-minute beauty routine all busy women need


Three years ago, when I had my son, I learned a morning beauty regimen that was so awesome, I’ve used it ever since.

I got these tips from Rebecca Perkins, makeup artist and the founder of Rouge New York, an NYC-based makeup salon. She’s also the mother of a 4-year-old, so I knew she wasn’t going to give me any crazy-town advice about facial contouring and eye shimmer.

But this routine isn’t just for mothers of young children. It works for everyone. Never have time in the morning? Good. It’s for you.

Dry shampoo can take greasy hair and make it look clean in about a minute. Just make sure you brush it through, or your hair will be white and you’ll look like one of those people who do Revolutionary War re-enactments.

“Instead of a moisturizer and a serum and a foundation, just apply a deep rehydrating serum and then a tinted moisturizer that has an SPF,” says Perkins.
